Project Management

15 February 2021

Project management encompasses the discipline of planning and organisation, and using management means to bring control for the successful completion of the specific project goals and objectives.

A project is a temporary effort with a definable beginning and ending, usually limited by date, finances and/or deliverables. It must satisfy specific goals and objectives. The temporary and often individual character of projects is in contrast to “Business as Usual” activities within many organisations which are often repetitive. The management of these systems, is in practise, often quite different. As such, project management requires experience of various different technical skills and the approval of individual project management.
