A contract management procedure can be started from different perspectives. The chosen starting point will in part determine the focus of the process steps within the entire contract management process.<\/p>\n

LEGAL
\nFrom the legal standpoint the following aspects are at the heart of the procedure:
\n\u2022 Negotiating and\/or tendering by legally authorised individuals;
\n\u2022 Establishing minimum stipulations which must be included in a contract;
\n\u2022 Approval\/authorisation by authorised individuals (CoC-registered);
\n\u2022 Establishment of a model contract and\/or model articles;
\n\u2022 Archiving of contracts in line with legal requirements;
\n\u2022 Review and adjustment of the contracts;
\n\u2022 Establishment of a checklist;
\n\u2022 Registration of contracts;
\n\u2022 Following of contracts, such as the <\/a>duration, if obligations are being met, penalty clauses and legal action undertaken against a counterparty.<\/p>\n

FINANCIAL
\nThe following aspects, in particular, are important from a financial perspective:
\n\u2022 Monitoring of the exploitation of contracts (for example purchasing or sales process);
\n\u2022 Timely execution of determined contractual obligations (e.g. payments);
\n\u2022 Employing certain activities in the contract (e.g. price negotiations, delivery terms or payment conditions);
\n\u2022 The delivery of management information from the contracts;
\n\u2022 Establishment and implementation of KPI\u2019s.<\/p>\n

PROCESS
\nThe following aspects in particular are important from a process perspective:
\n\u2022 Approval\/authorisation of a contract in accordance with the authorisation plan;
\n\u2022 Actual registration via a system, for example from Excel sheet to document management system;
\n\u2022 Archiving of the contracts, both digital as well as physical;
\n\u2022 The establishment and ensuring of a monitoring process;
\n\u2022 The establishment and ensuring of a follow-up procedure;
