What is the role of the Contract Manager?

The Contract Manager is concerned with the reviewing and/or drafting of contracts and mapping of risks. He or she has an advisory role for tender managers and project managers in case there are contractual and legal issues during all project phases of multidisciplinary projects.

The Contract Manager ensures the customer and supplier uphold their contractual obligations in the implementation phase in accordance with the requirements in relation to safety, environment and quality, and taking into account the surroundings.

Negotiates with suppliers about the content of the contracts to be drafted and helps to establish contract documents.

Ensures the realisability of the project.

In addition, the Contract Manager participates in external consultations in relation to permits and agreements, and is responsible for observance thereof.

The Contract Manager is responsible for coordination between multiple contracts and the contract parties involved, the decision-making in conflicts regarding contract interpretation and operational execution for building administration.
